felt balls

Have you ever wondered what I sound like? Well, now is your chance to find out. I’ve put together a video with tips for making felted balls. They may be simple to make, but sometimes you just need that little push to give it a try! Let this video give you the confidence to turn your bits of wool into cute little felt balls and beads (hint: just stick the finished ball with a needle).

Did I see a fleeting vision of Olive on the left side of your screen?

There’s a Math Test to leave a comment!?!?!?!

Question: Have you ever put them in a dryer and rolled them around for awhile?

Putting them in the dryer isn’t going to felt them. I don’t think there is enough pressure or heat. When I made dryer balls, I made a ball of wool, put it in a nylon stocking and then it went in the washing machine. The heat + water + soap did the felting. Now that they roll around in the dryer they haven’t changed much. Plus when you are doing something as small as the felt balls/beads, you need more control. Thanks for asking!

Thanks for the tutorial! My previous attempts at felted balls did not turn out so well. Have to give it another try now.
