Ready to try the newest returning craft craze? Punch Needle may have origins in the 19th century, but with new materials and designs, it fits right into our modern sensibilities. This “initial” punch project covers all the basics for beginners. Experiment with various weights of yarn and sizes of punch.

Students will leave with semi-completed piece.  Finishing the edges will be your responsibility, but we will cover various options.

$35 per person, includes use of punch tool, hoop, and assorted yarn.  If you wish to purchase materials for further punching, supplies will be available at 15% off retail.

Class time approximately 3 to 3.5 hours. Recommended Ages 12+

If you have a rigid heddle loom sitting at home and you’re not sure where to begin, this demo is just what you need! Curious about weaving, but a little nervous to try? This demo is a perfect glimpse into the first steps.

I’ll be starting with an empty Cricket loom and will walk through the steps of measuring your warp yarn, dressing the loom, and preparing for weaving. Students will have the opportunity to get hands on experience.

The perfect introduction to weaving!  We’ll be playing with lots of different types of materials including yarn, fiber, twine, and fabric. You will have the opportunity to work independently or follow design guidelines set by the instructor. Maximum size of piece approximately 6 inches x 8.5 inches. Class time 2-3 hours.

A note about kids: Ages 13+ should be able to work independently, but it is recommended that younger children work with an adult. If you want to bring a little person, consider sharing one kit.

$35 per person. Includes use of loom, weaving materials, and snacks. Students will leave with finished piece. Any who wish to do so can purchase a loom at 20% off retail price.
